Web Developers Who Mislead Small Traders

Now this is one of my biggest moans Web Developers who con small traders with little knowledge of web sites into signing up for a long term deal with something that will not work for them.

I thought that this kind of practice would be disappearing these days but no. I recently came across a local trader a lady who does interior design. She is very good at her profession and knew that she needed to expand her business and saw the Internet as a way to do it. Just before Christmas she was contacted by a company who were visiting the area. Basically they were going around as many local small traders and signing them up for a simple 3 page templated web site and then moving on.
Unfortunately this lady who was just about to fly off to Australia to visit her son got caught up with this company and was too say the least railroaded into signing a 5 year contract for a 3 page web site.

I wouldn’t have too much of a problem with it but they paid no attention what so ever to Search Engines they stuffed the keywords and paid very little attention to Meta Tag Title and Description. Their blurb went on about linking etc but how was a complete novice able to understand this.

I find this practice completely unacceptable in this current day and especially in this current climate where small traders need every penny they can get and do not need it to be wasted on a poor web site.

How To Monetize A Blog

Many a blogger today are smiling to the bank because of the way the trade in blogging has gone it is one of the cheapest things to set up on the internet and for those who know they will readily move up on it and cash in on the cash cow called blog.

Now how do you monetize your blog for dollars?

Many Weblogs today are running head to head with themselves and looking for that tiny little space to place what today has become the bed rock of blogging adverts. With adverts lining your blog you find people wanting to click away on your blog the kind of adverts that appear on your blog page attracts the kind of money you hope to make from your blog adverts that carry big time company logos like coca cola etc are been rushed by people and to think that the spaces are small then imagine the competition involved for such little spaces.

Also you can monetize your blog when you get little or no competition from your area of specialization everyone in that niche market see you as the guru and then the big guns come calling what do you do than to sell off your blog and build another one that will replace the one you just off loaded. Many lazy internet watchers are on the lookout for such blogs where the owners are offered large sums of money to sell off there blogs So if you have a niche area that you are very good at why not make a show of it by looking for traffic to visit your site the more traffic that your blog gets the higher your chances of reaping it off.

Reflections On Lifecasting

In an age where the gap between people seems to only be filled by digital fulfillment it seems almost natural for people to broadcast themselves on the net. When people start to find that people out there somewhere are willing to embrace an individual for whatever they feel compelled to publish to the web they achieve a sense of fulfillment. People have become overnight stars on YouTube and Blogs that make thousands of dollars a month all because some peoples opinions and impulses are valuable.

What people are learning is that someone somewhere will appreciate you. Especially for the teenager in high school who feels rejection from the people in their immediate life receive that fulfillment from the people that give them ‘hits’ on their page. The person that gives them the most positive feedback becomes a ‘good’ friend. Then all you have to do is work with your following and generate a valuable successful and fulfilling future from lifecasting.

Lifecasting is an easy world to get lost in but it can teach you a lot about yourself. What are you interested in and why? How can you portray these things to people in a way to make them want to know more about you? When the net was starting to emerge there were plenty of news reports about Internet addicts and people staying up all night gaining insomnia from their need to surf the web. These people were ridiculed for their impulse but thanks to those early pioneers we now have sites like Google YouTube Myspace Facebook and many many more that contribute so much to many peoples daily lives.

The art of lifecasting can be a very therapeutic action especially for the socially rejected. Anyone can find a home on the Internet. All you have to do is Google it!
